Mhai! (Mum)- Inspired by Tocky Vibes song
There is a Zimbabwean artist called 'Tocky Vibes' who has been hitting the airwaves recently. One of his songs has become somewhat of an anthem for me as it touches on a subject which is so close to my heart...it's dedicated to his mother. Basically in this song Tocky is narrating the promise he made to his mother that no matter how much success he will achieve in life he will never forget her (his roots). It is a very grounded song and speaks a very poignant message. For us to be where we are today we didn't get there because of our own ability, determination and fortitude...there have been people supporting us through out the process- and mums are one of our biggest fans. I for one remember all that my mum has done for us as a family and I will forever be grateful.
